Carrie Darling Events ® is a Wedding and Event Planning Company, based in Naples, Florida. We Love the Beach and the Mountains so we are honored to arrange Weddings and Events in Southwest Florida (Marco Island, Sanibel, Captiva, Naples, Fort Myers) year round and North Carolina during specific months. Our services include Complete Wedding and Event Planning, Wedding Day-Of Coordination, and Event Design. We produce seamless decor proposals, done with custom-built decor pieces directly from our workshop that complement your style and overall aestheic. Item that are not only gorgeous, but provide a function. In case you are hosting an outdoor reception with a candy buffet, why wouldn’t you need an LED display box to add lighting for attendees to see what they are scooping into those adorable take-out boxes? We invite Weddings of any size. We have done intimate Weddings of 10 guests under a dining canopy on the beach, and we have undertaken wall to wall ballroom events of 300 guests or more! Our 30′ x60′ warehouse of decor items we have accumulated over the years also aids us accessorize our events. Put simply, we love what we do, and delight in the moment when everything comes together after a year of planning. In offering specialized focus, we only undertake one Wedding a weekend, with a limited number of events a year.

We are not making it up, “Darling” is our actual last name! Carrie puts the pen to paper, and Matt makes sparks fly in our workshop. Since 80% of the events we plan are with couples intending Destination Weddings, we empathize with you– WE HAVE BEEN THERE! We arranged our own destination Wedding in 2010 in Asheville, NC. We hired a talented Day-Of Coordinator, so we could kick up our heels an appreciate every minute of our wedding day! Sidenote: Matt built a rounded, white booth for our Sweetheart Table that we had to bring up in a trailer! We are devoted, passionate and dreamers at heart. We certainly like to integrate a touch of whimsy into our designs. Every wedding ought to be unique, and that is why we like to learn more about your story too. It just might give rise to something!

Given that we have awesome SUNSETS here in Southwest Florida, most of our services are focused on Wedding Planning and Design. We also offer Special Event Planning for other occasions including Rehearsal/Welcome Parties, Bridal Showers, Baby Showers, “ Will You Marry Me Dinners“, Engagement Parties, Milestone Birthday Parties, Anniversaries, Holiday Parties and every other reason to celebrate! We also been contacted for custom built pieces for venues or specialty rentals (depending on our event schedule). As creatives, we are open to additional styling opportunities. Just ask!

More about Iona
Iona is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Lee County, Florida, United States. The population was 15,404 at the 2010 census, up from 11,756 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Cape Coral-Fort Myers, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Iona is located in southwestern Lee County at 26°31′N 81°58′W / 26.517°N 81.967°W / 26.517; -81.967 (26.510,-81.959). It is bordered to the west by Punta Rassa, to the east by Harlem Heights, and to the northeast by McGregor. Its northern boundary is the tidal Caloosahatchee River, across which is the city of Cape Coral. The southern edge of the community is Summerlin Road (County Road 869). McGregor Boulevard crosses the community from northeast to southwest. Iona is 4 miles (6 km) northeast of the causeway to Sanibel Island and 11 miles (18 km) southwest of the center of Fort Myers.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the Iona CDP has a total area of 10.2 square miles (26.5 km2), of which 6.6 square miles (17.1 km2) are land and 3.6 square miles (9.4 km2), or 35.32%, are water, primarily in the Caloosahatchee River estuary.
As of the census of 2000, there were 11,756 people, 6,023 households, and 3,740 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 1,648.5 people per square mile (636.6/km2). There were 9,290 housing units at an average density of 1,302.7/sq mi (503.1/km2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 97.47% White, 0.41% African American, 0.17% Native American, 0.48% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 0.83% from other races, and 0.63% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.94% of the population.
There were 6,023 households, out of which 11.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.9% were married couples living together, 5.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 37.9% were non-families. 31.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 17.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 1.95 and the average family size was 2.36.
