This was such a classic wedding, from the flowing gowns to the tuxedos, but with a Florida twist of large elegant palms and rattan lanterns.
The ceremony was held on Calusa Terrace, at the JW Marriott Marco Island. Guests were able to overlook the beach and the glistening Gulf of Mexico, without having to walk on the sand in their heels. We built custom white walls along the aisle in our CDE Workshop, and Isn't She Lovely Florals embellished the walls, front columns and back of the aisle with luxe tropical floral arrangements. We brought in more texture with the mix of bamboo and rattan lanterns on the ground.
The reception space was draped in a white perimeter drape, and we also had the front entrance draped - so when it was time for the party to start, we could draw back the curtains for the grand reveal- and guests would walk through the draped tunnel and feel like they were transitioning into another space. Although the hedge wall with neon sign blocked the full view of the room until they made their way all the way through.
The main ballroom had two statement pieces or Wow factors with custom bamboo lantern installations. They rose up towards the ceiling, and we positioned tables around them in the shape of an “x” so they were central in the space.
A white dance floor, white stage carpet, white stage surround, 16’ white bar all helped make the room extra classy.
