We chose Corinne and Mike out of all the applicants for this Giveaway Wedding, based on their story and passion for helping others. He is a Marine and she is a Nurse by day, so we all agreed they were a very deserving couple. We had free reign on the Wedding Design since it was a giveaway collaboration and went with a ‘Florida Garden’ vibe.
It was a “Champagne and Cake” style reception, so more of a cocktail hour vibe with a lot of fun details.
As guests walked out to the beach ceremony at Casa Ybel, we framed out the String Quartet to make them a main feature. We built “Entry Fencing” on either side of the aisle, so as all the guests (and the Bride) walked down the aisle to their seats, they all had to pass through the tunnel of music. They may even stop to listen for a minute to appreciate their talent. It was such a great way to feature the musicians, instead of putting them into a corner.
Once guests walked out onto the reception lawn, they had a few options! They could visit the Bubbles Bar for their choice of drink or champagne, claim a stool at the “Tasting Table” where we had flights of champagne on custom monogrammed placemats, or grab a miniature cake from one of the cake trees. We had a lot of fun highlighting the cakes with these custom tables built in our CDE Workshop. The trio of cake trees came in 3 colors, an orange sherbet tone for the “Florida Orange Crunch” cake, yellow for the “Lemon Dream” and Pink for the “Strawberries and Champagne” mini cakes.
