Shea and Donovan’s Wedding was the perfect mixture of black tie elegance and the enchanting charm of Florida. They booked the Penthouse at the JW Marriott Marco Island for the special occasion. The ladies got ready in the suite,, but they also hosted the full dinner and dancing reception 11 stories up!
The beach vows were on the sand, with wooden bench seating accented with colorful print throw pillows featuring an orange print, tropical greenery print and tassels. Four oversized floral arrangements in rattan baskets were positioned at the front of the aisle, with some muted blush and white tones, but also notable pops of bright fuschia and orange.
Once the ceremony ended, guests were greeted with a “Meet me in the Penthouse” display as they walked off the beach. The display was reminiscent of a fancy PH foyer, complete with a small display table filled with champagne. On the display wall were retro orange keychains that had the Penthouse room number #1160 engraved on them, as well as the couple’s names and the date. They served as a fun favor, but also let guests know what room number they were headed to in case they got separated on the way to the elevators.
The large wrap-around Penthouse terrace hosted one long tablescape for dinner service, and had room for dancing and a bar on the other. We rented Louis Cane-backed chairs, and ordered custom orange-print charger plates to match the pillows from downstairs, and the print for the Bar top. Each guest name was lasercut in a leaf on top of the place setting, and it looked to be growing from the center orange on the plate.
Once guests were done with their entrees, they were invited up to select one of the 5 flavors of cupcakes. The dessert table featured a hanging black rattan lantern chandelier with floral accents.
It was such a fun and unique space for an intimate dinner!
