Averi & Ray asked for Maui, and we brought in some truly fun details to simulate the bright, tropical culture of the Hawaiian Islands.
Guests walking out to the JW Marriott beach were greeted with a custom made Tiki-shoe-shack. 4 Bamboo chairs were positioned in a semi circle, with bamboo mats underfoot, and a large canvas stretch across the poles with the couple’s names. We had a few bamboo baskets to hold guests fancy shoes while they continued to the ceremony space with the and between their toes.
The ceremony piece was a 8’ wide bamboo structure that we designed and assembled in our CDE workshop. We envisioned a series of bamboo poles, slanted in different directions and dressed in elegant tropical florals to provide a broad backdrop that would be enjoyed from all angles. It made in every photo and really stretched the look behind them.
Once guests were invited into dinner, they had to find their acrylic hibiscus laser cut escort card on a tropical wallpapered wall. We had 2 long, family style tables with a dramatic overhead centerpiece, and the additional round guest tables featured very colorful, vibrant florals mixed with tropical fruits like bananas, kiwi and guava.
An evening favorite was the Cake Hoop, which oddly enough we made with a bamboo HULA hoop ;) Aloha!
