Dining al fresco, under the starry sky on an evening in March in Naples, Florida- what a dream! The weather is perfect, and you are surrounded by family and friends at ONE table set for 62 guests.
Everything was simple, neutral and effortless. For the ceremony, instead of large arrangements of florals- we built a suspension piece to criss-cross over the heads of the couple in our CDE Workshop. Kaleidoscope Florals installed a grouping of beautiful vines to just float over the Bride and Groom.
Instead of escort cards, we acted as hostesses (my team of ladies) and greeted each guest at check in and physically walked them all to their seats. It added a fun VIP element, and had more of a dinner party/restaurant feel than a Wedding where you have to search for your own table. The ribbon wrapped around the menu on the place setting had the guest names written in calligraphy for a personalized touch.
Since the emphasis was on conversation and time with family, they hired a pop string quartet that sat in the corner and played background music over dinner. After dinner service, they took it up a notch with some of today’s hits played in an elegant tone.
Since they had a whole Viennese table of desserts, the couple decided to let the guests eat the desserts during the event, and take home their slice of Wedding Cake! We pre-boxed the slices on a farm table and tied them with jute string, and finished the packaging with their monogrammed white wax seal on top. We had a terracotta tray on the cake slice table that said “It’s been a Slice, Now take Yours” with a rolling pin that had the couples names “Lynsey and Greg” written in calligraphy and some flour and measuring spoons. A fun little baking undertone for the display!
